Chiller Theatre April 2001

Looks like the spring Chiller Theatre show featured a lot of great models. Thanks to Louis Toledo for providing these photos!

Okay Chiller Theater time again, and as per usual the Chiller chicks where dressed to the Tee or should I say undressed, the model and art contest was full of some of the best work you could ever see from all over the country, while there where little more than over 50 kits in the contest, they where all top notch, Glad I didn’t have the job of judging.

The vendor table where full of spooky paraphernalia and loaded with resin figure kits, Star trek kit where few and far between in the contest and at the vendor tables.

Vendor tables did not have much new to offer kit wise, pretty much the same old kits, Replacement heads where real big especially the new George Reeves head sold by dice creations, I managed to pick up one for myself, I also picked up a creature and Frankie head for the Polar light kits I already own $17.00 total. I also managed to get a Ripley in power Loader kit for only $35.00; while I was at it I got a Ripley Geometric kit with conversion parts $69.00 total. I found a Bimbofet kit Bubbafets wife I guess) real nice resin piece for only $10.00 and the cut little cartoon version of supergirl for only $20.00, not a bad two days, with a $30.00 entry fee bringing my grand total to $181.00 I’d say there was not to much damage to the pocket and I still had grand ol time.

People where dressed like it was Halloween (all the freaks where out) and like vampires were a way of life.

There was a new twist this year that included model building seminars, I attended two of them and found them very informative can’t wait for more in Oct.,

Happy modeling Dooods
